International Pairs Welcomes New Portugal Licensee
Portugal has been selected to host the annual International Pairs World Final to take place on the 26 October to 30 October 2021 in Algarve. The new License Holder Daniel di Pietro, is looking to seize the business opportunity that bringing a World Final to his own country can create.
Daniel di Pietro is 54 years old, has an Architecture degree and he is passionate about Golf. In 2007 Daniel and his brother founded a Company that hosts a golf fair named Portugal Golf Show. Since then, the company started organizing and promoting golf events in Portugal and has become the license holder of other international tournaments where he acquired great experience in this sector.
Today, he runs his own company and he is very excited and focused on creating a new future for the International Pairs in Portugal, taking advantage of this unique moment of the great change of image and concept of the historic tournament.
Daniel says: “In this year, in which we hope to witness the end of the pandemic that is plaguing the world, I want to take advantage of the start of a new era of this tournament, which coincides with the rebranding and the revision of the tournament concept. It is the perfect timing to start a new challenge, knowing that we have a lot of work ahead of us to get a top position in golf tournaments in Portugal”
Portugal has a wide variety of courses, with features suitable for the different levels of difficulty and available budgets. Between 2014 and 2019, Portugal was chosen by the World Golf Awards as the Best Golf Destination in Europe for six years in a row, and as the Best Golf Destination in the World between 2014 and 2018
There are more than ninety courses around the country, and most are aimed at attracting tourists. Even so, Portugal has a multitude of almost 15,000 federated players who take advantage of the fact that in Portugal, there are more than 300 days of sunshine a year to practice their favourite sport.
We are excited to have Daniel onboard and look forward to hosting a strong team from Portugal in the 2021 World Final.
