JERSEY GOLFERS TAKE THE SPOILS IN THE INVITATIONAL DIVISION!

JERSEY GOLFERS TAKE THE
SPOILS IN THE INVITATIONAL DIVISION!
Paul Mooney and Richard Jones were ecstatic when announced winners of the Invitational Division.
It took a count out to determine the winners after the pair from Jersey and the Nigeria team of Remi Olukoya and Dr Eloka Menakaya both ended on 74 stableford points.
Kenani Phiri (Zambia) and Mufaro Chivonivoni (Zimbabwe), on 70 points, ended in 3rd place.
The winning Ladies Pair of Isabelle Back and Sally-Anne Hyatt are the proud – 1st ever – World Ladies Champions.
In what can only be described as an amazing feat, South African players were crowned as the International Pairs World Champions in Portugal. After losing by a single point for the last 3 years, this year saw a change in fortunes for the SA team.

2019 Saw the start of several changes to the 20-year-old format of the International Pairs with players, guests and sponsors competing in 4 different divisions.
